The new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) comes into force on Friday 25 May 2018. The regulation standardises the rules on the processing of personal data by private companies and public bodies within the EU. Not only companies with their registered office or permanent establishment in the EU are affected, but also the vast majority of companies in Switzerland.
